Tuberose - Its fragrance is extremely feminine, sensual, mesmerising and seductive. The oil is extracted from the buds and petals of these white flowers, using the expensive and time-consuming enfleurage method. It is therefore one of the most expensive ingredients in perfume. Perfumers value tuberose for its intensity and longevity. It brilliantly enhances the fragrance of a perfume and brings depth and mystery to a composition.
Iris - Its powdery, velvety fragrance is elegant and delicate, with green and earthy notes. It is one of the most expensive ingredients in the palette of perfumers. This is due to the very long and complicated process of extracting the oil, which takes several years and requires a large amount of raw material. The oil is extracted from the rhizomes, which must be harvested, cleaned well and then left to dry for three to five years for the fragrance to mature. Only after this time, can it be turbodistilled and fractionated distilled to obtain the iris absolute.
